THE MISS AFRICA USA-CALIFORNIA PAGEANT 2007
Hundreds of Guests gathered at the California African American Museum
in June 2007 to witness the historic Miss Africa USA California Pageant.
This is the first of its kind in African pageantry to happen in the Great State of California. Guests turned up
in their numbers including 7 celebrities from Hollywood, 4 African diplomats and several African celebrities graced this occasion.
All VIPs were received on an elaborate Red Carpet spread outside of the Museum. Ms Amelie Mbaye from the French consulate
received the VIP guests on the Red Carpet. After a display of culture, talent and various platforms about Africa by the 16
delegates representing, Miss Rachel Temu of Tanzania charmed the judges the most, thereby winning this pageant.
This Event was hosted by the Vibrant Hollywood Actor Jimmy Jean Louise and the Elegant Hollywood Actress Kim Newbury.
The Red Carpet was very befitting.
